Grand Inner City Tour
Grand Inner City Tour
The only daily guided tour in Copenhagen that covers the whole city and its major sites. Perfect if it is your first time in Copenhagen
One of our local guides will drive you around in a minibus and show you all that is worth seeing in Copenhagen. As we go in small groups, the tour is personal and relaxed and you see a lot more than you see on a hop-on hop-off or larger group tour.
The tour is deisgned to show you as much as possible as efficiently as possible but without pacing you. That is why we use a minibus and do not just walk.
The tour includes a full visit to these sites (and more):
Sailing around the old idyllic canals for an hour you get a fantastic view of the old city from the sea. You will see the famous Little Mermaid Statue from the boat.
The largest castle in Scandinavia and the center of power in Denmark. Home to both the Parliament, the Government and the Supreme Court. Full of world class decorations, tapestries and spectacular paintings from the 1800’s.
Amalienborg Palace Square
This is where the royal family lives. And it is probably the most beautiful place in Copenhagen. The royal guards will protect us as we tell you about the German occupation of Denmark during the second world war and about Denmark being the oldest kingdom in Europe.
This is one of the most well preserved Renaissance castles in the world. We see all of it. Both the magnificent rooms and the impressive Danish crown jewels and other treasures in the basement.
You also see…
The Little Mermaid, Nyhavn (New Harbour), Christianshavn, the lakes of Copenhagen, The Opera House, Old Stock Exchange, Kongens Nytorv (King’s Square).
H.C. Andersens Boulevard between Tivoli and City Hall (On the Tivoli side)
Pick-up from hotels
Can be arranged free of charge for hotels in inner Copenhagen. You can book the pick up here on the website when buying tickets for the tour. The pick up time will be written on your confirmation email and will be before the start of the tour. Please call us if you have questions. If nothing has been arranged with us, we expect you to be at the starting point of the tour in the morning.
Never more than 16 people. On average 10 – 11 people
The castles are big, old and without elevators. It takes good legs to go through them and there is a walk of approximately one kilometer from Amalienborg to Nyhavn during the day. So we must apologise that the tour is NOT suited for people that do not walk well and impossible to take in a wheelchair
At a nice and inexpensive local café.
